2018 Scholarships 

 

At Catholic Vantage Financial, we have a reputation for doing things in the best interest of our members. That’s why we are offering $7,000 in scholarships to support education.

All students who are applying for scholarships must be a member of Catholic Vantage Financial at time of application. Completed applications and supporting documents must be received at the credit union by March 2, 2018.

College scholarships

College Scholarships: Four scholarships will be awarded at $1,000 each

College Scholarship applications and all supporting documents must be received by March 2, 2018. Scholarship recipients will be notified by March 14, 2018.

IMPORTANT: Student must be a member of Catholic Vantage Financial to be eligible for scholarship. Parents can open accounts for minors in our office or online.

Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements:

  1. Student must be a primary member with a minimum $5 savings account balance.
  2. Limit one scholarship application per student. Student family can only receive one Catholic Vantage Financial Scholarship.
  3. Must be a high school senior who will be graduating in the spring of 2018.
  4. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50. If awarded a scholarship, recipient may be asked to submit copy of most recent report card to support GPA.
  5. Must plan on attending an accredited college, university, or trade school. Scholarship checks will be made payable to the school.
  6. A completed application, typed essay, and short video is required telling us:
  • What are your academic goals?
  • What role has your faith played with your journey?
  • How will you continue to grow your faith as an adult?

Your video can be a shortened overview, 15-30 seconds long and posted online. Please provide URL on your application and tag your video with #FaithForward.

Catholic Vantage Financial employees, elected or appointed officials of this Credit Union, and their immediate families are ineligible to apply. Immediate family is defined as parent, spouse, sibling, and children.

PLEASE NOTE:  The application must be received at Catholic Vantage Financial no later than March 2, 2018. Scholarship recipients will be notified by March 14, 2018 and asked to attend the credit union’s annual meeting on March 21, 2018. All applications will be reviewed for accuracy. Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on the information submitted. Judges’ decisions will be final.  Parents / Guardians / Recipients agree to have student’s picture and name featured in Catholic Vantage Financial advertising and media releases and attend the credit union’s annual meeting on March 21, 2018.

High School scholarships

Catholic High School Scholarships: Four at $500 each

Complete and print Catholic High School scholarship application.

 

IMPORTANT: Student must be a member of Catholic Vantage Financial to be eligible for scholarship. Parents can open accounts for minors in our office or online.

The K-8 and High School scholarships will be awarded by random drawing. All scholarship funds will be paid directly to the Catholic School listed on the application on behalf of the student by check for the 2018 – 2019 school year. Applicants must meet the following qualifications and are subject to the following conditions:

Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements:

  1. Student must be a primary member with a minimum $5 savings account balance.
  2. Limit one scholarship application per student. Student family can only receive one Catholic Vantage Financial Scholarship.
  3. Applicants must be attending or accepted into a Catholic School (Kindergarten – 8th Grade or High School). Check will be made payable to the school.
  4. A completed application is required.
  5. Catholic Vantage Financial employees, elected or appointed officials of this Credit Union, and their immediate families are ineligible to apply. Immediate family is defined as parent, spouse, sibling, and children.
  6. Applications must be received by March 2, 2018.
  7. Scholarship recipients will be notified by March 14, 2018 and asked to attend the credit union’s annual meeting on March 21, 2018.
  8. Failure to maintain your status at the Catholic School will result in cancellation of scholarship award and any remaining funds will be returned to the Credit Union and not redistributed.
