Now in its 74th year, International Credit Union Day is celebrated by credit unions worldwide annually on the third Thursday of October. Initiated by the Credit Union National Association in 1948, this annual event was established to raise awareness about credit union history and achievements and to promote the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.”
In this spirit, CVF will be accepting canned foods and non-perishable items during the entire month of October as we look to support local food pantries keep up with this growing need. We encourage all members to bring an item or two into the branch throughout the month to help us make a difference in the lives of others.
