Who we are and how we got here.

Catholic Vantage Financial was originally chartered on February 10, 1953 as St. Michael Livonia Federal Credit Union. Today, Catholic Vantage Financial is evolving into Michigan’s leading and most well respected Catholic Federal Credit Union. We have built a reputation of doing things in the best interest of our members and the catholic community. Financial strength and stability, combined with innovative products and services, haves helped us grow to become the banking choice for catholic consumers and business owners, as well as catholic parishes, schools, and organizations. We understand everyone’s financial needs are different and can change over time. We’re ready to help you through financial challenges and opportunities, protect your privacy, and give you the services and tools to help you succeed.  Face-to-face, over the phone and online,  we treat each member with integrity and respect. Every member, every time.

Supporting the Catholic Community

We provide more than just financial services. We have built practices and programs that are in the best of interest of our membership and our Catholic community. For young people we offer scholarships to help cover tuition, and not just for college, but also for students attending a Catholic school in grades K – 12. Our affinity credit card reward program provides cash back benefits to schools and associations to help offset expenses and costs. We developed the EZ-Pay Tuition Program that offers the choice of either financing Catholic school tuition at a special low rate or making electronic scheduled payments.  We also provide financial literacy in the classrooms, student-run credit unions at schools, and activities that promote good savings habits. At our free workshops you will learn about credit scores, identity theft, home buying, and helping college students work out a budget. And it’s not all about what we do here. You will also see us in your Catholic community at parish picnics, open houses and events. We attend the annual CYO Rainbow event, the MANS Conference, and other Catholic conferences.

Compassion and Care

For many years we have participated in the St. Mary Mercy Hospital Annual Embrace Life Event and we have also supported Habitat for Humanity, St. Christine’s and St. Aloysius in Detroit. Recently we have partnered with Peanut Butter & Jelly (PB&J) Outreach through Our Lady of Good Counsel to collect donations of clothing to provide warmth and comfort to the homeless and needy during cold winter months. This year we also helped Two Men & a Truck to collect personal hygiene items for women and children seeking shelter from abuse, and we helped collect donations for Journey to Housing, a special work of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, in collaboration with Catholic Charities that helps place families in homes. These are just a few of the many organizations and ways that we support our Catholic community.
